Innovation Fair -Mt Diablo High School

***Innovation Fair*** -Mt Diablo High School

The highlight of this event for me was hearing a student eloquently explain his product and its benefits to me and then turn around to another investor and give the whole presentation again in Spanish! What incredibly talented youth we have in MDUSD.

ATG : Escape Room event

Thanks ATG and Concord Chamber for some downtime with the OTB925 team after our big introductory meeting today with MDUSD’s superintendent. We talked about how to bring environmental education to all students, K-8th. Dr Martinez and his curriculum specialist, Jen Sachs, were very positive and supportive. Go OTB925!!

October appears to be the month for Environmental Education across the state of California. OTB925’s leaders joined the festive evening for CSTA members only at the TECH museum in San Jose this weekend.  They reconnected with environmental leaders from San Diego’s Environmental Literacy Rollout and started to build relationships with local environmental education specialists in Santa Cruz, San Mateo and San Joaquin County.  Contra Costa County Office of Education would benefit immensely by appointing an Environmental Science Specialist and we are looking for your support to recommend this to our district and county leaders.

As your dedicated community based environmental education group, we are doing what we can to connect with district leaders to let them know about what is available and approved through the state for classrooms.  As families and students, you can also encourage teachers, principals and administrative leaders to build their own environmental teams to support the teachers our school sites to have access to the environmental programs currently available.
